Our Project

Current Projects

At HKRF, our work is dedicated to reaching underserved communities with the tools, knowledge, and services they need to live healthier lives. Below are our ongoing projects currently active in rural areas of Bangladesh:

Online and Offline Health Education

We develop and deliver accessible health education materials — including video lessons, infographics, one-pagers, and in-person workshops — to raise awareness about dementia, cancer, diabetes, mental health, and other clinical conditions. These resources are tailored for patients, caregivers, and families in rural areas with limited access to health information.

Community-Based Research

At HKRF, we are doing research to better understand health problems faced by people in rural areas. One of our main projects right now is about air pollution and health — especially how it affects young people studying health-related subjects in Bangladesh.

Community-Based Research

At HKRF, we are doing research to better understand health problems faced by people in rural areas. One of our main projects right now is about air pollution and health — especially how it affects young people studying health-related subjects in Bangladesh. This research is called the "Air Pollution and Health Survey." We are inviting students (Diploma, BSc, Master’s, and PhD) who are currently enrolled in any health program in Bangladesh to take part. The goal is to learn what they know, how they feel, and how they act when it comes to air pollution and their own health.
Through this study, we hope to:
Find out what students already know about air pollution and health
Learn how air pollution affects physical and mental well-being
Improve the way we create health education materials in the future
Get students involved in solving real-world public health issues
All answers are anonymous. There is no cost, and no risk. This project helps HKRF understand what rural communities and future health professionals need so we can plan better programs and awareness campaigns.

Primary Care in Rural Areas

HKRF organizes local outreach programs such as village-level health screenings, community talks, and mobile clinics. These initiatives help bring preventive and basic care to areas with limited or no access to formal health services.

Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Services

We offer physical therapy to people who are sick, injured, elderly, or living with disabilities. This includes support for patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or children with special needs.
